THE TWO WELLS Ex-MILITARY SERVICE PERSONEL Nominal Rolls
This is a Two Wells Community RSL Project initiative poduced by Garry Tancock Two Wells RSL and John Allen Two Wells RSL (Hon. Secretary) for Adelaide Plains Council District and surrounding areas, to remember those who have served and those who paid “The Ultimate Sacrifice”.
On behalf of John and myself, we thank you, the community for supporting and remembering the military service personnel of Australia from our local area.
This was awarded the ADELAIDE PLAINS COUNCIL the 2018 AUSTRALIA DAY - PROJECT OF THE YEAR

 1895 – 2016
Ex-Military Service Personnel
Nominal Rolls

Our material lists people from Adelaide Plains Council District, and some surrounding areas who joined the armed forces 1895 to 2016 irrespective of overseas service. This also includes all ex-service personnel who may have moved into the Adelaide Plains Council District after their service in the Armed Forces.
John Allen and I have been honoured to create a set of folders and disc for the community of the Adelaide Plains Council District. After completing research on the Ex-Military personnel from the Two Wells district, now in the Two Wells Library, we decided to extend our area to the Adelaide Plains Council District, and some surrounding areas. This is to reflect all Australian Military Ex-Service and current personnel.
This project started in December 2015 and was to be a 12 month project collecting basic information and photos, collating them into a manageable set of folders and used as a starting point for the community to continue and grow over the coming years. We expected to have approximately 800 names. It is now Mar 2017, we have over 1000 names, and I’m positive we have missed several people.
The intent is to have this set of 6 folders and disc accessible to all, located in the Adelaide Plains Council Museum in Mallala. This Museum contains artefacts from all the Adelaide Plains Council District and surrounding areas and well worth a visit. Although these folders and disc were created by the Two Wells RSL they are going to be maintained, corrected and improved by the Mallala Museum staff, as a part of the local history, and for this we would like to thank them. We are always looking for Military personnel photos to scan, especially in uniform, as the quality of some photos are very poor. Please contact the Mallala Museum for details on how to contribute. Any photos will be scanned and returned as soon as possible. Please notify the Museum staff for correction or updates to these folders. Any assistance would be appreciated. The aim is to include all Australian Service and Ex-Service personnel, however, this can only happen with your help.
This information is for private use only and is not to be sold for financial gain.
Having these folders and disc available to the community and continually updated will mean that those who served are never forgotten.
Garry Tancock Two Wells RSL John Allen Two Wells RSL (Hon. Secretary)
